Privacy
In short: your garden plans stay on your device.
Your plans stay in your browser
The planting calendar, planner, spacing calculator, companion chart and countdown all run in your browser. Nothing you type, choose or plan is sent to us or anyone else.
What is stored on your device
The site keeps a few things in your browser's local storage so they are ready next time: your colour theme, your frost dates and units, your square-foot bed plans (bed names, sizes and crops), the spacing calculator's last settings and the crops ticked in the countdown. They never leave your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them; the planner also has a Start over button.
Files you download
CSV and calendar (.ics) files are created on your device and saved straight to it. Printing goes through your browser's own print dialog.
Page view counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and never receives what you type, plan or choose in the tools.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Links to other websites, including our sources and the tools we recommend, are ordinary links. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
